Horses provide an effective, honest and immediate method of learning the art of interpreting people. And it is an art - as only 7% of communication is verbal, so we need to learn to listen carefully and become skilled at interpreting what's "not said". Horses are masters of non verbal communication. They have an innate ability to mirror human behaviour in an honest immediate way and feed their findings back to us in real time. They are naturally sensitive creatures who are able to show us another way to effectively communicate. To date we have identified 40 different qualities of communication and leadership skills that horses can work with us on.
Professional Development using Equine Assisted Learning is not about learning horse riding or horsemanship skills; in fact you don't need any horse experience, nor do you need to like horses!
