Open Day
3rd February 2019
10am - 4 pm
Things have changed here a lot in the 25 plus years since the horses were introduced to the North River property.
What started out as a horse trekking centre has developed into a learning ground. A place where our clients, both local and from overseas, come to experience learning. Learning about horses and learning about themselves.
Yes, we still ride horses here, with the riding more of a long term journey rather than a casual get on and giddy-up.
The open day is your chance to come a see and perhaps experience what goes on out here.
Everyone is welcome, not just horsey people either.
Throughout the day there will be ongoing activities, demonstrations and displays of the various programs on offer at North River by us and others we have met along the way.
Listed below are some of the events that will take place at various times throughout the day.
- Meet the Herd
- Demonstrations
- Humanship Horsemanship - groundwork, ridden and round pen.
- Display by our Pony Girls with their horses.
- Equine Assisted Learning - personal development and team development.

- Lunchtime sausage sizzle
- Tack room clean-out SALE.
