Besides fixed prices for our programmes (Share a horse, Business Leadership Courses etc.) we use our pricing philosophy also here at North River as we use it in Europe running our Humanship Horsemanship Workshops.

Pricing Philosophy

We have given a considerable amount of thought to the subject of what to charge for our services for Humanship workshops hat we run here at the centre and have decided that we can not place a value on what you as an individual will take away from a workshop.
At the very foundation of Humanship is trust and respect so trust and respect is what we offer our clients with our pricing philosophy.
What we do know and have learned from past experience is the following:
The Humanship model of horsemanship is good for horses and good for people; and anything that is good for people makes the world a better place for us all to live in.
We know how horses have affected our lives for the better and we have a strong desire to share that with others.
We have to earn enough money to put food on our table and pay our way in life so we may continue to teach.
Each of us value things more if there is a tangible cost to us.
But at the same time money should not be an obstacle to learn from the Humanship model.

We can not place a value on what any individual will take away from a Humanship workshop or session.  That is up to the individual.

When we have to think about the value we have received from a service we are adding value to what we receive. The easiest thing in the world to do is to reach into your wallet and pay what you are told to pay.  However if you have to think first before reaching into your wallet, value is added.
There are two rules:
  1. A financial transaction has to take place.
  2. The payment has to be given to us personally by the client.

The Pricing Conclusion Is:

You pay for the value received from the session.
or
You pay what you can afford for the session.

In offering our services this way we have let go of our expectations of what we will be paid.
Our pricing philosophy is also a guarantee that we will give our best in each and every session.

The Pricing philosophy applies to participants as well as spectators.
